Room was clean, with comfortable beds. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pet friendly with a reasonable deposit, good hot breakfast included. Definitely our go to hotel for calgary

The bed was comfortable and the room had 2 comfortable lounge chairs and a padded foot rest to sit in and enjoy a drink.The room was quiet even though it was next to the elevator and under a flight path from the local airport. All the other facilities were good. The complimentary breakfast was okay, not great but better than other establishments we have stayed at. Disliked - The elevator broke down soon after I used it in the morning but there were other elevators to use. We found a pill on the floor whilst unpacking our suitcases, so can’t say the room was fully cleaned.

This is my second stay here. When we come to Calgary for grocery shopping and want to spend a night, this is our go-to place. It’s not a travel destination for us, just a comfortable spot for a one-night stay — and the rooms are great for the price. The facilities aren’t brand-new or modern, but the room size is spacious for the rate. The biggest plus is that the flooring isn’t carpet but hardwood, which is perfect for my husband who has allergies. In the king room, there’s a desk and office chair, two armchairs with a stool, and even a small glass table that’s great for enjoying takeout food and wine in the room. We ended up using everything. Before booking this time, I noticed many recent Google reviews complaining about front desk service, so I was a bit worried. But when we stayed here two weeks ago, our check-in went smoothly. The staff member wasn’t exceptionally warm, but there were no issues at all. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from downtown. But parking is free, and although we didn’t try the breakfast this time, it is included in the room rate.

Great hotel in a great location, staff was very friendly and helpfull. Good resturaunts within walking distance and a Wholesale Club right next door. Airplanes can be a little loud if your not into that thing.

Nice nice room woth one queen bed, a desk and a sitting space. Close to the freeway Very nice breakfast. Eggs were tasty. Fruit was a little skimpy: only apples, orange, and pineapple

Stayed here for a couple of nights and was quite happy with our stay. The room was comfy and clean with double sofas and foot rest. It was perfect for sitting by the window after a days travel. The bathroom was clean although but outdated. The toilet flush handle was broken and we had trouble using it. Although they sent maintenance to fix it after we reported it, the issue was not resolved. The location is really great - very close to the airport and with tons of restaurants nearby even within walking distance. The room was very quiet and we never had any issues with noise. The complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but no complaints. In general service was pretty good.

The hotel is a 3-star property. Good breakfast, very polite and friendly staff. Great location and affordable prices. The only downside for my wife and me was the smell of bleach in the room (my wife is allergic to bleach).

We have stayed in Royal Hotel Calgary for about 4 days. It was a lovely experience an incredible place to stayed. They have free breakfast and as a vegan that have more options compared to other hotels. The staff are accommodating and friendly. It's indeed worth to recommend. Overall time we spent there is highly commendable. We will definitely return next year.
